2. Crude oil production declined and imports declined

Affected by typhoon "Mangosteen", some oilfields in Guangdong have reduced production. In September, the production of crude oil was 15.18 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.4%, and the growth rate turned from positive to negative, with an increase of 0.2% in the previous month; the average daily output was 506,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 10,000 tons. From January to September, crude oil output was 141.13 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.9%.

The growth rate of crude oil imports slowed down. In September, the imported crude oil was 37.21 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%, and the growth rate dropped by 13.0 percentage points from the previous month, and the import volume decreased by 1.17 million tons month-on-month. From January to September, imported crude oil was 336.41 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.9%.

3. Crude oil processing volume increased steadily

In September, the crude oil processing volume was 51.34 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%, and the growth rate dropped by 0.7 percentage points from the previous month; the average daily processing volume was 1.711 million tons, an increase of 88,000 tons from the previous month. From January to September, the crude oil processing volume was 452.54 million tons, an increase of 8.1% year-on-year.

4. Natural gas production maintained rapid growth, while imports declined slightly

In September, the production of natural gas was 12.2 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%, and the growth rate dropped by 1.2 percentage points from the previous month; the average daily production was 410 million cubic meters, a month-on-month decrease of 10 million cubic meters. From January to September, the output of natural gas was 116.2 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 6.2%.

5. The growth rate of power production has slowed down, while wind power production has grown rapidly

From September 1st to 28th, the national average temperature was 17°C, which was 1.2°C lower than the same period last year. Affected by factors such as the weather and the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the demand for electricity in the whole society decreased. In September, the power generation was 548.3 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%, and the growth rate dropped by 2.7 percentage points from the previous month; the average daily power generation was 18.28 billion kWh, a month-on-month decrease of 23.8%. billion kilowatt hours. From January to September, power generation increased by 7.4% year-on-year, and the growth rate dropped by 0.3 percentage points from January to August.

Notes

1. Indicator explanation

Raw coal: refers to the raw coal produced by coal mines that has been checked and accepted and meets the quality standards. Namely: select gangue of specified particle size (including pyrite and other impurities) from raw coal and raw coal with absolute dry ash content below 40%. Although the absolute dry ash content is above 40%, the low-quality coal that has been approved for mining by relevant departments and has consumer demand should also be included in the output of raw coal. Raw coal is divided into anthracite, bituminous coal, lignite, and in bituminous coal, it is divided into coking bituminous coal and general bituminous coal. Raw coal does not include stone coal, peat (peat), and coal gangue that accompanies the production of raw coal.

Average daily product output: It is calculated by dividing the total output of industrial enterprises above designated size announced in the month by the number of calendar days in the month.

2. Statistical scope

The statistical caliber of the output data in the report is all industries above designated size, and its statistical scope is industrial enterprises with an annual main business income of more than 20 million yuan.

As the scope of industrial enterprises above designated size changes every year, in order to ensure that the data of this year is comparable with that of the previous year, the number of the same period used to calculate the year-on-year growth rate of various indicators such as product output is consistent with the statistical scope of enterprises in the current period, and is the same as that published in the previous year. There are discrepancies in the data.

3. Investigation method

The import data comes from the General Administration of Customs; the coal price data comes from the China Coal Market Network; the crude oil price data comes from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA); the temperature and precipitation data come from the China Meteorological Administration.

4. Conversion relationship between natural gas units: 1 ton is approximately equal to 1380 cubic meters.
